Kit Throws Becca a Surprise Party!

 

Becca would soon be on her way home from traveling and would be landing here in Seattle right before her Birthday.  Kit took advantage of Becca being on a trip, and used the time she was gone to plan her a surprise party.

Kit managed to get all of her favorite Birthday party decorations out, and made some fresh chocolate chip cookies, small cakes, and a few cupcakes as well.  She picked some bright colored flowers from the gardens outside, and made a "Happy Birthday" banner to go on the wall. She REALLY wanted to surprise Becca when she got home from her trip!

As soon as Becca arrived, Kit greeted her and gave her a purple crown to wear for her party and gave her a big hug. She really missed Becca while she was away.

Becca was so surprised! She couldn't believe all of the hard work that Kit had done while she was away!  This was going to be the best birthday she had ever had with her new AG family.

Becca was secretly hoping that someone would throw her a surprise party for her Birthday, but she never would have guessed that Kit would be the one to do it! She was so excited to spend the day with her.

Kit loves throwing parties. She always had had a passion for entertaining and hosting parties.  Having Becca return home right before her Birthday was the perfect opportunity to host a little get together for the two of them and celebrate her special day.

 Is that Meatloaf coming from the kitchen? Yes! Oh how he has missed Becca! He came running into the dining room and saw Becca right away!

Becca reached down to pick up one of Meatloaf's favorite toys and showed it to him as he came running in from the other room.

Becca has owned Meatloaf for several years now, and they are inseparable.  They've been best friends ever since Becca adopted him from the local rescue.

He was barking so loud, and jumping up and down. At this point, it was hard to tell who was more excited, Becca or Meatloaf.

Wet doggie kisses!

He jumped back and forth from Kit's arms to Becca's.

Eventually Becca sat down on the floor and gave Meatloaf all of the snuggles and loves he was searching for.  She really did miss him and was so happy to be home.

Kit and Becca sat and talked about Becca's trip.  Kit wanted to hear all of the details of how her trip went, and what her favorite parts were.  Becca asked how Meatloaf had behaved and what the other girls were up to.

"Well let's eat!", said Kit. "I made all of your favorite treats, and I'm sure you're hungry after your long flight home to Seattle."

"Look at all of these delicious treats", Becca said. "I don't know where to start!

Meatloaf sat near the table in hopes that someone would "accidentally" drop a cupcake or a cookie.

 The girls and Meatloaf enjoyed their treats and catching up with each other.

Turns out, Becca had a really great day with Kit and was super thankful to her for throwing her a surprise Birthday party.

 

...and Meatloaf was happy to have Becca home. Happy Birthday Becca!
