A Girl's Day Out!

"Girls Day Out" yesterday was so much fun!  Bright and early, I loaded up the girls and Becca's friend for a fun afternoon at the American Girl Store, Seattle.  Before leaving town we picked up the kids Auntie and we also stopped for a morning "treat" at Picadilly Bakery in Port Orchard. Cupcakes for breakfast? Meh, why not. You only live once. 

Becca wanted to treat Audrey to an American Girl Doll for her 12th birthday so that was the original reason why we made the trip.   Any excuse for Becca to spend a day shopping at the American Girl Store, is a good enough reason for her and Audrey was super excited about getting her first AG doll. 

After the girls did their shopping, and picked out what they wanted...we had appetizers and milkshakes inside the AG store Bistro. Some of the dolls even joined us!  They brought Audrey a cupcake and we all sang happy birthday to her! 

After we had "snacks" at the bistro, Auntie Karah and I were starving for some real "adult" food. Last time we were at the AG store, I happened to notice that Utah's famous CAFE RIO was opening up soon, and I was hoping they'd be open so I could introduce Karah to some really yummy Mexican food. 

Food was killer. Seriously, made me feel like I was home for just a second. Karah and I split the Sweet Pork Burrito as well as the Sweet Pork Salad.  The girls enjoyed a chicken quesadilla kids meal.

They are so silly sometimes. And I love them. I'm so thankful that Becca has a good friend like Audrey, right next door! Good friends are hard to find. 

So that's just a snip-it of our day at the AG store! The girls had a great time! 

Fun At The AG Store, Seattle

Yesterday we made a trip to the Alderwood Mall so we could visit the American Girl Store!

Becca was going to be doing a "Scavenger Hunt" for Isabelle, but we got there early enough to grab a snack in the American Girl Store Bistro!

The whole "experience" is really something. They ask you how many dolls you have with you so they can bring a chair for each of them to join you at the table. If you don't have a doll, they have one available for you to use!  Becca of course didn't have that problem, because we had three dolls with us on this particular trip.

We all looked over the menu, Erick ordered us up a few dishes to all share, and Becca opted for dessert.

We really are loving "Isabelle". She has just been so much fun!

After we ate at the Bistro, we all headed out into the store so Becca could complete her Scavenger Hunt!

Little Noahh was itching to get out of her stroller and stretch her legs a bit so Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy Erick chased her around the store so I could help Becca with her activity!

She was on the loose! Running through the store like a crazy baby! I'm sure she gave the boys quite the workout.

...little miss actually did pretty good in the store today. Luckily, the place was empty, so I didn't feel bad about her being down and running around like she was. I was hoping she would burn off some energy before we went to dinner, which wasn't the case of course, but it was a nice idea.

Becca had a good haul, and got spoiled even by Great Grandma and Great Grandpa a little too. Thank you both for picking up Becca a few new pieces for her Isabelle Doll. 

 

I talked Becca into picking up the Easter, "Chocolate Making Set" of Kit's also. Now the dolls can make chocolate bunnies for Easter!

Meet The Newest Gals

If you know us well, you probably have noticed we have a small "doll obsession".   I have my theories on how it began and you can read about it HERE on some prior posts...but tonight we added two new American Girl Dolls to the family!

Kit! Oh I love her. I've wanted her for quite a while now but timing was never so perfect.  We are so happy to have her here with us and the other girls. I think she is so beautiful, she's clearly my favorite.  I think I'm partial to her because she comes from a time period that I admire and I feel like I have a lot of the same qualities as she does. 

Believe it or not, her blonde bob and blue eyes remind me of how I used to look when I was younger. 

We also added this "Just Like Me" doll! I'm not sure exactly which one she is yet, but when I do some more research tomorrow I'll learn more about her. 

I love her blue eyes and freckles. I'm looking forward to playing with her hair more in the morning. It's been a long night of moving them in and we're pretty tuckered out.

We are so excited to have these two gals with us! Becca was so excited to hear about where and how we came across both of them. The internet is wonderful! Quite possibly one of the best craigslist finds I've ever come across. 

We hope that the family that these girls were with before us knows how much Becca, and Noahh, and myself will love and cherish them!  We are looking forward to many great adventures with these two and they will be very well taken care of!

American Girl Christmas Traditions

Late last night we let Becca open up her new American Girl Doll dresses and she loved them! We got all of her dolls dressed up in their new Christmas attire, freshened up their hair and got them all ready for their big day out the following morning.

It was time for our Annual Christmas American Girl Doll Store trip!

We woke up at 6 am, which was just enough time to get everyone ready, fed, and loaded up into the car to make the drive into Lynnwood. Once we got there, we still had just a few minutes to spare before the store opened.  We took the girls into the mall's "play area" where Noahh could stretch her legs and walk around a little bit. She did a great job walking today!

After we were finished playing, we gave Becca her AG bags to open. Inside she found Noahh's Christmas Card with $100 spending cash, and one for her with $200.00.  Becca couldn't WAIT to get inside the AG store.

Oh did I mention the dolls just HAD to come with us? All of them? 

I must say, watching Erick proudly push a stoller with not only one real baby, but 5 other ones hitching a ride, was pretty sweet.

Inside it was a magical playground for girls of every age.  Becca knew exactly which doll she was going to get!...

'til next time American Girl! It was so much fun! Can't wait to go back! We usually make another trip during summertime as well.

After leaving Lynnwood, we stopped in Seattle for some famous "Dicks" burgers and shakes. Oh man, I'm telling you...eating healthy during the holidays is just NO FUN!

We got home and Becca started opening up all of the dolls and accessories.

Playtime! Mommy fell asleep not to long after Becca opened up all of the new toys, and when she woke up, she found dad, Becca and Noahh surrounded by all of the doll toys having quite a good time!

Noahh can literally fit inside this doll R.V. Camper.  It's the cutest thing ever.

I love seeing my girls this happy and content. I'm thankful we found something we can enjoy doing for them, as a family. Merry Christmas Noahh and Becca. You've been very good this year and deserve all the happiness in this world. xoxo.mom

Black Friday Goodness

As I'm sitting here typing this post, this is what's going on in the bed next to me.  I couldn't resist giving you a glimpse of how our evening ended.  Let's rewind a bit to see what wore all of us out!

I love this man. I love this gal.  (her dolls too)

 

We are NOT "Black Friday" Shoppers. No way would I ever have imagined this gal of mine would have talked Erick and I into going to Target. Absolutely nuts I thought.

 

 

We have had a trip planned for the American Girl Store on Sunday for "Brunch with Santa and your doll".  I figured between her AG party just two days ago and the brunch, it would have pretty much been enough for all of us when it comes to the dolls, but I guess I was wrong.

Becca found out that at Target, all of the OG Dolls and accessories were buy 1, get one 50% off and we were all pretty much sold.  Tonight we picked up the RV Camper, the Jeep, a Scooter, a Camping/Hiking Set, the "Alice" Doll and a pet dog.  Go big or go home right? It was a good deal.

 

 

 

Her AG collection is literally beginning to take over her room.  This is the "doll house" Erick built her for her birthday. It's floor to ceiling, 6 rooms with interchangeable backgrounds/themes. Some rooms have real linoleum and Pergo flooring.

 

The list of accessories/furniture she has is pretty much endless.  It's really fun to just stand in her room and take in this magical little world.

 

She was so excited to get all of her new things out of their boxes and into their appropriate places within the house. 

 

Needlesstosay, She's already outgrown this doll house that is 8ft wide 7ft tall. He's already making plans on how to extend it to wrap around her entire room.

Welcome to the family, "Alice". I'm sure we'll have many wonderful adventures with you.
