A Very Special Birthday

 

Happy Birthday Aunt Karah!  Yesterday, Aunt Karah got her first AG doll! 

...and she chose "Isabelle", Girl of the Year!  She wanted a doll with blonde hair, no bangs, and green eyes..just like her! Isabelle was the closest match.  

What a fun day Mom and Karah had shopping at the AG store.  Karah got her first doll, a bunch of adorable clothes, some of the "birthday" accessories, a keepsake box, a doll stand and a few other things.  

They continued the big birthday celebration with lunch at Cafe Rio'. Yum.  This is now a tradition whenever we make a trip to the AG store. The food is too yummy to pass up. 

My mom was able to get a new outfit for Kit, and her Reporter Set!  This new outfit is to die for. We're loving all of the new Be-Forever items.  I want them all!

After lunch, they went back to the AG store for one last look around.   Karah picked out a birthday set for Isabelle that contained the "Happy Birthday Crown"! So perfect for a day like today.  Mom got a few more items too!... 

After they got home from the AG store, they set up the girls with all of their new fun things. They even invited "Rebecca" to join the party.    

My mom purchased Kit's Table and Chair set, along with the Birthday Party set. How cute are these fun new things?!  While Mom, Karah and her Best Friend Nicole all had their real birthday dinner, the dolls all sat around their new table and had a party themselves. 

What a day! Can't wait to go back with Aunt Karah! Happy Birthday! 

A Girl's Day Out!

"Girls Day Out" yesterday was so much fun!  Bright and early, I loaded up the girls and Becca's friend for a fun afternoon at the American Girl Store, Seattle.  Before leaving town we picked up the kids Auntie and we also stopped for a morning "treat" at Picadilly Bakery in Port Orchard. Cupcakes for breakfast? Meh, why not. You only live once. 

Becca wanted to treat Audrey to an American Girl Doll for her 12th birthday so that was the original reason why we made the trip.   Any excuse for Becca to spend a day shopping at the American Girl Store, is a good enough reason for her and Audrey was super excited about getting her first AG doll. 

After the girls did their shopping, and picked out what they wanted...we had appetizers and milkshakes inside the AG store Bistro. Some of the dolls even joined us!  They brought Audrey a cupcake and we all sang happy birthday to her! 

After we had "snacks" at the bistro, Auntie Karah and I were starving for some real "adult" food. Last time we were at the AG store, I happened to notice that Utah's famous CAFE RIO was opening up soon, and I was hoping they'd be open so I could introduce Karah to some really yummy Mexican food. 

Food was killer. Seriously, made me feel like I was home for just a second. Karah and I split the Sweet Pork Burrito as well as the Sweet Pork Salad.  The girls enjoyed a chicken quesadilla kids meal.

They are so silly sometimes. And I love them. I'm so thankful that Becca has a good friend like Audrey, right next door! Good friends are hard to find. 

So that's just a snip-it of our day at the AG store! The girls had a great time! 

Fun At The AG Store, Seattle

Yesterday we made a trip to the Alderwood Mall so we could visit the American Girl Store!

Becca was going to be doing a "Scavenger Hunt" for Isabelle, but we got there early enough to grab a snack in the American Girl Store Bistro!

The whole "experience" is really something. They ask you how many dolls you have with you so they can bring a chair for each of them to join you at the table. If you don't have a doll, they have one available for you to use!  Becca of course didn't have that problem, because we had three dolls with us on this particular trip.

We all looked over the menu, Erick ordered us up a few dishes to all share, and Becca opted for dessert.

We really are loving "Isabelle". She has just been so much fun!

After we ate at the Bistro, we all headed out into the store so Becca could complete her Scavenger Hunt!

Little Noahh was itching to get out of her stroller and stretch her legs a bit so Grandma, Grandpa, and Daddy Erick chased her around the store so I could help Becca with her activity!

She was on the loose! Running through the store like a crazy baby! I'm sure she gave the boys quite the workout.

...little miss actually did pretty good in the store today. Luckily, the place was empty, so I didn't feel bad about her being down and running around like she was. I was hoping she would burn off some energy before we went to dinner, which wasn't the case of course, but it was a nice idea.

Becca had a good haul, and got spoiled even by Great Grandma and Great Grandpa a little too. Thank you both for picking up Becca a few new pieces for her Isabelle Doll. 

 

I talked Becca into picking up the Easter, "Chocolate Making Set" of Kit's also. Now the dolls can make chocolate bunnies for Easter!
