Welcome to the bakery! Where the kitchen runs on love, laughter and lots of coffee! Here you'll enjoy scents of homemade treats like cupcakes, donuts, cakes, breads and macaroons.

Here is where most of the kitchen appliances, and tools are stored. Mixers, rolling pins, cookie cutters, flour sifters and cake decorating supplies.

Nellie arrived at the bakery first thing this morning. Before the sun was up actually. She got the ovens turned on, and prepped the kitchen for the day as usual. Right as she was getting the tea going, she remembered that one of her dear customers Ivy would be stopping in with her sweet little pups, Chocolate Chip and Marshmallow. It was Chocolate Chips birthday, and since the bakery always welcomes dogs, Ivy thought it would be a fun way to celebrate with Chocolate Chip.

Nellie cleaned up the bakery, swept the floors, and put another batch of cupcakes in the oven. She also wrapped some dog biscuits and chew toys in a pretty little pink box for Chocolate Chip to have when they arrived.

Ding! The timer on the oven went off notifying Nellie that her cupcakes were done. Because Nellie has a variety of customers that always stop by the bakery, she loves making different flavors of cupcakes. Vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet are on the menu for today.

Before Nellie could turn around, she was surprised to see that Ivy and Chocolate Chip had snuck right in and sat down at the bistro table.

Nellie and Ivy are great friends and Ivy makes it a point to come by the bakery on a regular basis so they can stay close and catch up on what's going on in one another's lives. Ivy's dogs enjoy coming to the bakery too, because Nellie always spoils them with doggie-treats.

Nellie offered Ivy a hot cup of tea, and a bowl of berries. Ivy thinks Nellie makes the best tea ever from her own special blend of herbs and spices.

Marshmallow is a Siberian Husky and Chocolate Chip is a Lab. They are both rescue dogs from a nearby shelter that Ivy volunteers at. She fell in love with them both when they were brought into the dog rescue, and couldn't help but bring them both home.

Because Chocolate Chip is a rescue dog, they aren't sure of his exact age or birthday, but Ivy likes to celebrate it on the day that she adopted him and brought him home. This would be their 3rd year together! So happy 3rd birthday Chocolate Chip!

Nellie brought Chocolate Chip a lovely wrapped pink box... After all, what would a Birthday be for a dog without some new bones, and chew toys?...and homemade dog biscuits, made in the bakery by Nellie herself!

After Chocolate Chip opened his gifts from Ms. Nellie, they gathered back around the bistro table to enjoy some more hot tea.

Marshmallow came over and wanted to be part of the fun too! These sweet pups are so lucky that such a kind girl like Ivy adopted them.

Nellie is lucky to have a friend like Ivy, who stops by while she's at work in the bakery. Nothing is more fun than sitting with good company over tea and baked goods. Nellie makes a wonderful hostess, and tries to make sure that her customers always feel special and looked after when they are at the bakery.

Nellie hopes that Ivy, Chocolate Chip, and Marshmallow will come by again soon!
